No trip should be entirely business. VDBAB has arranged several special tours and has a list of events for you to experience, too.

1. Special rates. A special business / corporate rate is available for single room occupancy, Sunday through Thursday nights. Minimum stay: 3 nights. FIFTEEN percent discount, choice of room. - Or -Look at the Ocean Room in the summer - special rates ideal for business travellers.

2. Credit card acceptance. American Express, Master Card, Visa, Discover, Diners Club...it's your choice. Charged in your choice of currency, $US or $C, so there's no extra bank conversion surcharges when you get your statement. (We know how that can mess up your expense account!)

3. In-room Coffee makers (Tea and Hot Chocolate, too) . You are always welcome to join us for a cuppa, but there are times when you just want the convenience and privacy of a fresh brew in your room. You got it! There's also bar fridge in your room, stocked with complimentary soft drinks.

4. In-room and cellular telephone and wireless data port. An ample number of phone lines makes it easy to call the office and plug in your laptop to check e-mail, or use our wireless, high-speed, always-on Internet conection - bring your laptop! And there's an iron and board in every room. Moderately priced same-day professional dry cleaning and laundry also available. Complimentary wash 'n fold laundry for guests staying 3 days or more, too!

7. Flexibility on late check-ins. Bad connections and airline delays often result in late night arrivals. We'll wait up for you at any hour, with the kettle on, or a glass of wine waiting, if you wish, or just have the bed turned down and inviting you to fall in without further ado. Airport meet 'n greet service available at any hour. We also offer our late-arrivals a restaurant-quality three-course dinner at home, by advance arrangement.

8. Early and/or healthy breakfast options. Rich breakfasts are fine for weekend splurges, but business travellers need a light, healthy meal. Starbucks coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and a muffin are available if you have to leave at 6 a.m. to catch a plane. Grab a banana and run. Again, it's your choice.

9. In-room television. After a high-pressure day, an hour of private tube-time can be a relaxing way to decompress. Or select from our library of over 150 VHS and 150 DVD movies.

10. Fax machine availability. A real convenience if you need a document right away. Your hosts will fax anything you wish, and make arrangements to receive a fax if you are expecting one.

11. Convenient transportation. VDBAB is right downtown, "in the heart of it all," within easy walking or public transit distance to your business meeting or convention, yet located in a quiet residential enclave.

12. The Cookie Jar. Did we mention that cookies, coffee, tea, soft drinks, juice and fresh fruit are always available and always free!
